WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Puglia is one of Europe’s best-kept secrets. However it’s a very popular destination for Italians during the summer months and our wedding is at the tail end of peak season. Please book your flights and accommodations early.
Book a flight
There are no direct flights from the U.S. to either Brindisi (BDS) or Bari (BRI) airport, so a connecting flight is necessary. We recommend you fly into a major European hub no later than August 31st, spend one night, and connect to BDS or BRI the next morning. That way you can join us for the welcome aperitivo on September 1st. We’ve found that Amsterdam, London, Munich, Naples, Paris, and Rome are good layover options. We suggest using Skyscanner for the best deals.
Rent a car
Our venue is about an hour’s drive from either airport so a car is necessary to get around. We suggest any of the major car rental agencies located in both airports as well as Auto Europe and Europe Car. Be sure to reserve an automatic if you don’t drive manual, and a GPS unit if your car doesn’t include one—cell reception is spotty. Your American driver's license should suffice—please bring it if you're driving. We’ll provide shuttle transportation on the day of the wedding.
Reserve a room

There are also a number of great vacation rentals nearby from Airbnb, VRBO and HomeAway. Just make sure to book one close to our venue. Note: on the day of the wedding, shuttles will only pick up and drop off from the two masserias below.
Settle in to this beautiful eighteenth-century farmhouse surrounded by a vast expanse of olive trees. Their recent renovation has transformed the old sheep pen, hen house, and farmer’s quarters into comfortable rooms.

Pack your bags
Remember, your passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned date of departure.
Pack semi-formal cocktail attire for the aperitivo and the wedding celebration.
Bring comfortable shoes. Masseria Mozzone is a working farm, which means dirt and gravel roads. Ladies, wear heels at your own discretion.
Pack a swim suit, sunglasses and sunscreen for sunbathing and splashing around in the Adriatic Sea.
Bring a light jacket or warm layer. While temperatures hover around 75–85 degrees during the day, it can drop into the 60s in the evening.
Remember to pack a European travel plug adapter to charge your electronics.
